Vision

TriEx offers vision testing which is important for those who require precise vision for their work or excellent colour competency.

Our vision tests can help you:

  • Comply with such internal quality requirements of close inspection of work and that the general quality of work is at the highest standard
  • That the employee is able to read signs and warnings to ensure safety
  • That the employee is visually safe to drive
  • Identify employees at risk from visual fatigue or headaches in the workplace
  • Take necessary action with regard to reducing visual fatigue and headaches


What’s involved?

Employees undergo a five minute vision test usually at your premises (or TriEx premises by arrangement). TriEx will take care of all future test scheduling and a full statistical and informative report on results is released to management.

Vision tests include:

  • The employee wearing their normal contact lenses or glasses
  • Reading near and distant charts in a room at least three metres long
  • Explanation of the results to the employee
  • If vision is reduced then referral to an optometrist for a possible correction lens


Our colour vision tests can help you:

  • Comply with such internal quality requirements for colour competency
  • Ensure that the employee’s colour vision results in the general quality of work being at the highest standard
  • Ensure that the employee is safe with colour dependent tasks (electrical work)


What’s involved in a colour vision test?

Employees undergo a two to five minute colour vision test usually at your premises (or TriEx premises by arrangement). TriEx will take care of all future test scheduling and a full statistical and informative report on results is released to management.

Vision tests include:

  • The employee assessed on a variety of combinations for competency
  • Explanation of the results to the employee
  • If colour vision is limited then referral for further testing if task is safety dependent, or testing on the job for colour competency
