HSNO Training

The Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) legislation requires that certain substances, or “quantities thereof” must be under the control of an ‘Approved Handler’ at all times to offer advice, training, or assistance to those using or handling the substances.

TriEx offers a one-day workshop specifically designed for anyone involved in the handling of dangerous goods or hazardous substances.

What is involved?

  • We provide practical information on the requirements of the HSNO Act and the role of an Approved Handler.
  • Information is provided about controls for hazardous substance classes.
  • Examples of hazardous substance handling will be made relevant to those attending the course by encouraging attendees to provide advance information to the presenter.
  • Workshop attendees are expected to share their knowledge and interact with other attendees and the presenter.
The afternoon session is not intended for those handling explosives or using agrichemicals in the field.
