Heat Stress

New Zealand has a very changeable climate, and while most of us are not exposed to excessively hot or cold conditions during our working lives, there are some occupations and situations in which extreme environments are encountered.

Heat stress measurements are especially important for staff who work in very hot, cold, or humid enclosed workplaces, or where a significant radiant heat source exists.

Managing heat stress can improve work flow and decrease illness in staff.

What’s involved?

TriEx can:
  • assess the affect of air movement, work rates, protective clothing levels, temperature, and relative humidity on the heat stress a worker will face.
  • recommend changes to your workplace or procedures to manage any potential hazard found.

Testimonials

"We've contracted one of TriEx's nurses for a number of years now. We would find it extremely difficult to find someone else to do what she does. Not only is she very good but she is available for the number of hours a week we need her and through her, we can tap into the full range of TriEx's services, like flu vaccinations for 70 of our staff."
