First Aid Course Information

Workplace First Aid (NZQA 26551 & 26552) - 1 Day

This workplace first aid training covers the recently introduced NZQA Unit Standards 26551 and 26552. These new unit standards are to replace unit standards 6400, 6401 and 6402 which are currently being phased out by NZQA. This course will ensure that all participants feel confident that they have the necessary skills to provide vital and life saving first aid assistance in their workplace. Training will include the following:

Unit Standard 26551

  • Scene/Patient Assessment 
  • CPR
  • Choking
  • Bleeding
  • Shock

Unit Standard 26552

  • Injuries; Fractures, wounds, soft tissue injury
  • Burns
  • Accident Register
  • First aid without a first aid kit
  • Medical conditions; seizure, diabetic emergencies, breathing difficulties, anaphylaxis, chest pains & stroke
  • Scenarios based on industry/workplace.

Refresher First Aid (6 Hours)

This course will cover all relevant topics required for attendees to effectively and competently complete Refresher First Aid Training.
