Employment Health Assessments
TriEx offers health assessments to help you assess the suitability of the person for the job and assist you to fulfil your legal obligations more easily. Employment ‘medicals’ minimize your recruitment and training costs and lost time on the job. Many customers find these ‘medicals’ invaluable, the small investment paying off many times over.
Our ‘medicals’ can help you:
- Assess potential employees;
- Record baseline health status for newly appointed employees so pre existing medical conditions are identified and not attributed to your workplace
- Monitor the health of current employees in relation to any hazards that they may be exposed to in your workplace (an often overlooked DoL requirement);
- Check staff for drug use and thereafter at any time of the day or night;
- Record health status for an exiting employee, protecting you from future problems.
What’s involved?
Potential, current or exiting employees undergo a variety of testing procedures at our premises usually within 1 – 2 days of your request. The exception is our new 24-hour drug testing service, which is available as soon as possible after the incident or concern.
Tests for employment ‘medicals’ can include:
- Hearing testing
- Lung function testing
- Vision testing
- Physical mobility including grip strength
- Drug testing
- Work related blood or urine testing
- An injury questionnaire
- A work related health questionnaire
- A full range of blood tests including blood lead levels
- Drug urine sampling
