ACC Auditing

Is your workplace in the ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP) programme?

Would you like to join the programme and receive rebates of 10%, 15% or 20% on your ACC WorkPlace Cover premiums?

ACC is currently offering rebates to companies who have been accepted into the WSMP programme, have been officially audited by ACC and who comply with the appropriate standards.

Pre-audits

If you are considering joining the programme or would like some official guidance into the programme’s requirements, TriEx can help. We have experienced and knowledgeable auditors who can conduct pre-audits to gauge your companies level of conformance and offer practical solutions to fulfill any shortfalls.

What’s involved in a pre-audit?
  • TriEx Safety Division Staff will visit your workplace and review the required policies, procedures, documentation and evidence. The official ACC audit tool will be used and the audit will be conducted in conjunction with the member of the organisation who will be involved with the official ACC audit
  • A workplace inspection will be conducted to ensure conformance with the practical requirements of the audit tool
  • Five workplace hazards will be reviewed to ensure the stated controls are being implemented as appropriate
  • Focus group meetings will be held, one with “shop floor” employees and one with members of the management team, to determine the level of health and safety knowledge
  • During the audit a significant amount of time will be spent improving the understanding and knowledge of the participants, and in providing insight into the requirements of the official ACC audit
  • Once the audit is complete a comprehensive report will be produced identifying any critical areas of non-conformance along with any recommended actions. Elements which partially meet the requirements of the programme will also be detailed and recommendations for improvement listed.
  • If required, a “ready reference” guide can be included in the report to assist with locating the appropriate evidence during the official ACC audit.
